Announcing DocAuth, Our New Research Program on Identity Document Authentication
Aimed with development of next-gen AI for intrinsic identity document analysis, DocAuth is set to provide new level of assurance in identity verification.

Identity document authenticity assessment is a complex task requiring expert knowledge on security features differing for each and every document version issued.
At IDENTT, our day-to-day job involves gathering and maintaining rules (and exceptions) valid for over 300 identity document versions issued by 100+ countries worldwide.
However, apart from passports, majority of the documents worldwide still do not have an eID layer, allowing for contactless, cryptographically-secured authentication. Having to support ID cards, passports, visas, or residence permits, authenticity assessment through visual trait inspection remains an ever-present challenge.
Automating ID Authentication With AI
Based on our 9 years of experience with automated identity verification, our aim is to create a new, foundational AI model, capturing the intrinsic details of all identity documents issued worldwide.
The goal? Enabling secure, yet scalable document authentication solution, available remotely for anyone.

Combining Document Knowledge, our proprietary, world’s largest structured API on identity document traits, and the vast experience of our project team, lead by Prof. Marek Klonowski (Wrocław University of Science and Technology), DocAuth is aimed to set a new industry standard in identity document authentication performance.
